Chevy just came home today. He is in a lot of pain, but in great spirits. He gives kisses and loves attention, but he is scared to do anything without supervision, even eat! His skin tags and tumors are all over his skin. All of his exposed skin has second degree burns from the sun that are now infected. He is on heavy antibiotics that are already helping his debilitated state. I fear he is coming done with kennel cough now, but that will just be one more hurdle he must make! His incision from surgery looks good, and we wait to find out the results of the biopsy.
For now, he is wrapped up in a comfy bed, with a full belly and plenty of water. He is already following me all over the house and learning his name. (We can always talk about leash manners when he feels better!)

On the way home...
His injuries are severe but we have faith he will recover...
Checking out his new yard... skinny as he may be, he has many spots in need of marking :)
Chevy’s surgery gave me quite a scare, it drained fluid for four days...
Chevy’s spirits are HIGH despite all of it!
Chevy’s biopsies came back as cancer, but he is recovering from his surgery and we will due further tests to see if, hopefully, the tumor removal has been successful. In the mean time, he is gaining weight and is really getting his energy back. He is starting to play with his new foster siblings, and his new favorite toy is a tire ball on a rope. I doubt this beautiful boy EVER had fun in his whole life... Until NOW!

BUT THIS IS SOME NEW PICS OF CHEVY!!! HE LOVES HIS NEW BROTHERS, GUCCI AND BOOKER :)
Even more new pics coming soon...

This beautiful boy will need a LOT of work. It’s hard to remember how bad they look initially... but the outcome always leaves me speechless
